I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Jason Zeitz, and I, along with my partners, Joe, Ray, and my brother Dave, own and operate El Diablo Bowling Supply. We’re not only friends and family for over 20 years, we are also bowlers who wanted to try to give back to the sport that we fell in love with when we were young and never lost the passion for. The Zeitz family goes back decades in bowling. Our grandfather, even over 90 now is still rolling to this day, and our dad put a love of the sport in us that hasn’t diminished. We’re so proud to say that it’s even in the next generation of Zeitz family members with Ian and Liam already on their way to surpassing us with their impressive collection of honor scores.
As equipment improves, the way we clean that equipment must improve too, and as we looked around, we saw the market sorely lacking in innovation in that area. So, we had to go out and do it ourselves and create El Diablo Bowling Wipes. We had the dream in late summer of 2023 and by January of 2024, El Diablo Bowling Supply, and El Diablo Bowling Wipes, were born. We started slow, with a boots on the ground campaign. We implored pro shops in the Philadelphia area that we knew from our decades in the sport to carry the wipes. Then we used them ourselves at leagues, got them in the hands of other bowlers on the pair after league, just pushed, and pushed, and pushed, largely with word of mouth. In what felt like an eternity and an instant all in one, we were in pro shops up and down the East Coast, carried on Amazon and Walmart, and in a really cool moment, approved by the USBC for Before and After use. Seeing the USBC logo on OUR cannisters was a very cool moment. While our largest concentration is on the East Coast, we’re also in a smattering of states nationwide (and don’t be afraid to tell your local pro shops to contact us and get our wipes in your favorite pro shop) and even as far as Australia! Beginning with a limited run of 600 cannisters, we’ve now distributed close to 10,000 cannisters in our short time in the industry.
What makes our wipes different, aside from the personal connection and the lack of corporate B.S. you can only get from a small business like ours, is that our wipes have two distinct sides, one ideal for cleaning the ball, and the other ideal for cleaning your hands right after use. On top of that, that dual sided construction, gives you the ability to choose how you clean your surface, with a more gritty wipe, or a more smooth side if you prefer.
